One of the highlights to my trip to Korea in 2005 was the visit to a Buddhist temple in Seoul, where I met some wonderful and gracious people. I was invited to watch them rehearse a Buddhist opera, and I sat down next to a woman who was kind enough to let me know what was going on, as her English was much better than my Korean!
So I was delighted to get the opportunity to photograph a Buddhist wedding right here in Kansas City. It was a beautiful ceremony that I’m not sure my words can do justice to.
Leah was feisty that day, and great fun to photograph. She and Andrew make a great couple and set the tone for a very fun party! First we headed to the Aladdin Hotel for some group photos. What a beautiful hotel!
While the Buddhist wedding was new to me, returning to the Berg Event Space was familiar territory. The caterer was Cupini’s. If you haven’t eaten at Cupini’s, you’re missing out on some fantastic Italian food. The food this night was first rate.
The flowers were done by fellow Wedding Hive member Emmy-Ray, who is a handmaker of all sorts of great things. I thought they were gorgeous.
