Kansas City Fashion Photography | Fall Fashion Shoot

One of the hallmarks of great fashion photography is the ability to put together an excellent team. Kansas City has some truly amazing stylists of all types: wardrobe stylists, makeup artists, hair stylists and photographers as well. I’ve met some of the area’s best talent over the past several years, and I’ve enjoyed everything they’ve contributed to my photography.

With that in mind, I put together a team to do a shoot of Fall fashions. The idea with this shoot was for each person to be able to get creative within his or her discipline. It was definitely a team collaboration!

I first contacted Jenna Huffman to be in charge of the styling. I’ve worked with Jenna before, and she has a wonderful eye for clothing and accessories. She did an absolutely amazing job putting together the wardrobe for our shoot. Look for more collaborations between Jenna and me in the future!

Hair was done by Manda Kay Sanders of Pinkie Couture. I’ve worked with the owner, James Pillatzke, on numerous occasions. Manda just blew me away with her enthusiasm and creativity. She was tremendously fun to work with, and she did a great job. I expected nothing less from a member of the Pinkie Couture team.

I can’t say enough about Melissa Evans. What a find she was! We hadn’t worked with Melissa before, but when we were looking for a makeup artist for this shoot, she came recommended by several people. I absolutely love the work she did.

I can’t say enough about the quality of work these women did. They are dedicated, do great work, and are easy to get along with. I hope to work with them a lot in the future.

I also want to thank Wendy at Voices& for helping with the models and Colfax Boutique in Westport for supplying some of the wardrobe.

And lastly, thanks to Lindsay, Ali and Sheila for being such fun models to shoot.
