It rained practically every day leading up to the date of Jaime and Luke’s wedding, but the sun was out come Saturday morning. In fact, it was the first really warm day of the season, and everybody was feeling a bit hot because of it.
But it sure didn’t show on Luke or Jaime’s face. Jaime looked radiant when I arrived in the bridal suite at the beautiful Aladdin Hotel. This was my second visit to the Aladdin in just a couple of weeks. I love older buildings like this, particularly when they’ve been carefully restored, as the Aladdin has been. After getting ready (and taking some nice shots), we hopped around the corner to The Club House on Baltimore for Luke’s first look at his bride, all dolled up in her gorgeous dress.
I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with the venue. What a beautiful, well-maintained building. They just don’t build that way these days, and it’s a shame. Like the Aladdin, it’s around 100 years old and is absolutely beautiful, with rich woodwork and a wonderful view of downtown. I love great locations for photography, and I was in heaven.
After the ceremony at Guardian Angels Church in Westport, the reception got started right away back at the Club House. Jaime and Luke had clearly rehearsed their first dance! It was beautiful to watch, and a pleasure to photograph. All in all, a very fun day!
